#TBT The Business of Making it Personal

Kevin Durant, at 25, managed to capture in his 2014 NBA MVP acceptance speech what it takes some people a lifetime, if ever, to combine – confidence, leadership, vulnerability and emotion. Acknowledging his coaches, teammates, family members and friends one-by-one, the Oklahoma City Thunder Forward displayed an attitude of gratitude that brought many people (including me) to tears. This was a great example of taking what some would have seen as a business/branding opportunity and making it personal. #SlamDunk
